The Brief:
IndiaSkills is a government initiative that aims to give young talent a national platform to build valuable skills and further on coveted international exposure.
The brief was simple, to make Indiaskills 2018 memorable and focus only on the competition.
The Solution
- We built a structure from ground up with suitable infrastructure to handle the wide range of skills being showcased at the competition.
- To ensure that the competitors only focused on the competition and not spend time traveling across the city, we chose Aerocity Grounds to be our the IndiaSkills kingdom.
- Spread across thousands of sq. ft. area, the skill kingdom showcased and highlighted why it is our endeavor to make India the skill capital of the world.
The Highlights
- 450 competitors from 27 states competing across 45 different skills.
- Given that this was also a selection ground for identifying talent to participate in the WorldSkills Competition in Russia, the stakes were high.
- Several judges and participants commented that ‘it was surprising’ to things flow so smoothly and they didn’t have to actually ‘find anything anywhere, because everything was already in place.’
- Sri Anantkumar Hegde, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Sri. Subhash Ghai, Chairman of Media and Entertainment Skills Council and a prestigious Film Director, and the famous actor Adil Hussain were amongst the many who graced the event.
